While smartsheet.com does offer many usefull templates, including a few for construction, there is not a “integrated multi-sheet and report” template for residential construction.   MODUS resolves this issue by providing a systematized and integrated template approach for sales, design, estimating, build and warranty aspects of project management, as well as running a construction  business.  These templates are designed to give you a head start with utilizing the full features of smartsheet.com.  They are also 100% customizable.  MODUS Smartsheet Template System is not affiliated with smartsheet.com.

What Modus is not

  • MODUS Smartsheet Template System is not a software. This is a template system to be used in conjunction with smartsheet.com.

  • MODUS Smartsheet Template System is not an out of the box solution.  Your time and effort will be required to fully utilize this approach.  Like any investment, your initial elbow work will pay off with increased efficiency

  • MODUS Smartsheet Template System is not a silver bullet.  Only with your due diligence, knowledge and decisions can MODUS be an effective tool for your business.

 

Alternatives to using Smartsheet.com in conjunction with MODUS, a Smartsheet Template System

  • Industry specific, or “vertical” software solutions. These solutions are monthly paid subscriptions.  There are many advantages to this approach. Software updates are made continually, so there is no hassle with having to upgrade to the latest version.   They are out of the box software solutions that have been designed through counseling and advice of industry experts.  They are outstanding companies and worth the time to evaluate for your needs.  The only downside is you have to work how they imagine, and your flexibility for modifications is limited.
